Wiley Drake

Wiley Drake is the 2nd Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention...and someone I'm really intrigued by.  He and I share very little in common as far as where we think the SBC should be heading...but I'm really getting to like the guy.  Though we've never met in person, I've read about him and talked to dozens of folks that have had lengthy conversations with him.  He seems to be a real quirky character that has caused some turmoil within the ranks of the SBC leadership.  However, he is also a man with a heart for the hurting as this blog posting talks about.  I think the thing I like most about Wiley Drake is that he seems to be an older SBC pastor that just oozes missional.  I may be wrong about that...but I'd love to grab a bite with the guy and talk one-on-one about reaching people for Christ.  I think it would be pretty interesting!!!
